Borough United were formed in 1946, and they have always played in Dartford. The name was chosen to honour the Club's first Chairman who was the Mayor of the Borough of Dartford.
After playing in the Gravesend and Dartford Leagues the club joined the Kent County League sponsored by British Energy where they now play in Division 2 West. After a lean spell the club are beginning to turn things round and look forward to further improvement.
