Biography

Jim joined the club in February 1956 and for a long number of years played in goal. In 1962 he was asked to take over the secretaries job. A position he still holds. In 1964 he was elected on to the Management Committee of The Sheffield Sports & Athletic Football League. Later to be elected as President of the league, a postion he still holds.In the 70's when the club had a few season's in the Amateur League later to become The Cobals Crane League he also served on the management of that league. Three years ago he was presented by the F.A. with a long service award for 50 years in football.
Jim was taken by surprise at the club presentation evening at the end of season 2006-7 by being presented with an engraved pewter tankard by Andrew Dodd. This was from all the players to celebrate 50 years service with the club.
