The South Midland Lea.was joined in 1975/76 and Senior status was granted by the Beds.F.A.in 1985 promotion to the Premier League was gained but unfortunaetly for only one season as Manager Barry fanconi resigned and a mass of players left with him.In 1988 under Barry O'Keefe Premier ststus was regained.kevin Millett then guided the team to 2nd.place and 2 Cup Finals in the early '90's.
Fllodlights became obligatory for teh 1993/94 season but Cpuncil planning permission refusal meant taking a big riskand considerable expense by ground sharing at Hitchin Town F.C.Vice Chairman Archie devlin picked up the cudgel and his hard work resulted in Dept.of Enviroment support ant the lights were in place for 1994/95.Kevin MIllett resigned due to business committments but introduced Steve Brinkman to the Club.Steve took the team to 3rd.& 4th.place and in 1996/97 was thwarted of the Championship by one goal !1997/98 saw the Championship pennant at Foxdell as well as the Premier Division Cup.they were also defeated finalists in the Challenge Trophy & Beds.Premier Cup.then F.A.Vase was entered in 1996/97 and the 3rd.Rd.reached only going out to Wisbech Town in a replay at home in front of 300 people.in 1997/98 we again lost at home in a replay to Kidsgrove Town after missing a penalty in the first leg.

Mark Smith,10 years as aplayer and Assistant from 1997/98 took up the mmanagerial reins but through a series of bad luck and poor results was unable to prevent relegation to Div.1 in 2002/03.2003/04 saw the Beds.Senior Trophy won and 10th.place,followed by 7th.in 2004/05.the youth team folded during that season but the Reserves under Jim Benton & Chris Juraszek won the Beds.County Reserve League.
the summer of 2005 saw the introduction of Pete Armitage and several of the players and staff of the successful Admiral team whilst Andrzej Juraszek was instrumental in securing good quality players who would feature in both 1st.& 2nd.Teams.Season 2005-06 finished with the 1st.Team winning the Beds.Senior Trophy and the reserves second in their League but was overshadowed by the Leagues refusal to allow us promotion due to facilities.
