It was a short drive through the mist to our away game in sunny Yate. What a fantastic day it turned out to be after a misty start, a big difference from last weekend’s weather and our cancelled game.

We have registered 4 new players to the Under 9 Junior’s squad and all were to make their debut today. We started off with Jack I in goal, Toby (debut) and Sam in defence, Harry, Cole and Jack B in midfield and Joseph in attack. Brandon and Paige were on the bench.

The second game started with some lively play from both teams and we certainly seemed to be creating some good chances. We were somewhat unlucky to see a shot hit Sam and get diverted into the goal. Cole was working hard in midfield and I was particularly impressed with Jack B who showed some good touches in midfield. We also worked hard in defence with both Toby and Sam making some great challenges. Jack also made some good saves in goal. The first half ended 1-0 to Yate

The second half started with a long range shot and a good goal to Yate. After about 15 minutes Yate broke through again and fired an unstoppable shot into the back of the goal. The game ended 3-0 to Yate.

Well done to all the players and especially to those making their debuts. My player of the match goes to Jack B for his great work in midfield.
