How it all started....

In January 2008, I took my Son Jacques to join a local football team, BSYFC. I helped the 2 coaches then, until September when I have to step back because of my work.
In December 2008, one of the 2 coaches asked me to take over as his Son was invited to join the famous Bristol City Academy Football Club as he won't be able to look after the team. I was not surprised as his Son is a very very good player. I was very honoured to be asked to be the Manager and said yes and took over both teams in January 2009 along with the 2nd trainer as an assistant. Straight away, I filled in the CRB form to be checked by the Police. In March 2009, the 2nd Coach assistant trainer left the club for personal reasons as also his Son was invited to train with Bristol Rovers Academy and his spare time was getting diificult to assist me. I decided then to pass my FA Level 1 Manager/Coach Certificate through Gloucestershire FA, as I wanted to be able to look after our 2 teams alone.
In May 2009, we finished the top of the group and today we are qualified to play in the highest league in September 2009. I have enrolled for the FA Level 2 Manager/Coach for following our Boys, until .....well...time will tell….
