BRADLEY STOKE YOUTH FC PROVIDE THREE QUALITY GOALS TO BEAT ST NIC'S TWO. This was a game with everything to play for on both teams shoulders, the first 20 minutes or so was a bit like watching lads play with a hot potato.Jack M was well up for "keepers!" today Defensively again Tom G,George B, Will P & Ben were a strength necessary to hold off St Nics, Ollie, Will B, Geordie & Henry striving to propel forward in midfield taking the play to Nathan & Sam, eventually settling down the game play was entertaining and attacking on both teams. opportunity for the official to make decisions on were ludicrously ignored. Hampered in some respect by hard ground & a wind to offset the direction of the ball, supportive & wide play was well manufactured by the team, but left the game at 0-0 for half time. Not wanting to upset the team performance Harry P and Lewis were acceptable of the reasons for them being on the bench. Tom G replaced though by Jack B. 2nd half started with a progressive play, enabling a well earned goal by Sam R. St nics turned that straight to achieve an equaliser from kick off. Not to be put off you all went in to attack mode unfortunately leaving players unmarked left an opportunity for St Nics to score a 2nd goal from a corner cross, it was a great goal. Youth then upped the tempo several attempts at forward play,6 minutes left then allowed a cracking 2nd goal for us by a thundering blast from 20 yards out by Geordie, St Nics came back with pressure but Youth were out to play hard, the runs forward from Ollie B and Henry where Ben had cleared the ball over St Nics midfield taking it through the defence eventually paid off with a quality shot from the left by Ollie B. 3 minutes left and it was all to defend for now. Superbly initiated by Ben who had an exceptional performance as right back today, clearance from Will Jack B and the most glorious final boot on the ball away from a very very close attack on goal by George B, followed by the final blow of the whistle. What a fantastic celebratory feeling for all of you for achieving the most important win of the season. I really am so very proud of you all and your ability to make your performance count. Well done to all of you absolutely fantastic. Thankyou Karen & Dave
