BTYFC Under 7 Blues

The Under 7 Blues are a team managed by John Martin and Darren Stone. The boys started at Under 6 where they were trained by Danny Sadler and John. Darren became involved through knowing Danny from his time playing for Danny at Under 16 to Under 18 level at Braintree Town.
At Under 6 the boys were one big team of 18 boys. The teams were split in late 2007 when John and Darren branched off with half of the boys with Dave Stevens taking on the Under 6 Yellows. Unfortunately due to other commitments Dave had to stand down as the manager of the Yellows. The boys were then split again to form the Blues and Yellows as they are now. Max, Kyron, Freddie, Hayden, Matthew, Ben, Jack, Harry and Madoc continued to develop while other team member Tyler started to develop in the yellows. This led to Tyler being placed with the blues.The team has been training every Saturday solidly for the last season and had their first friendly in May. They played Rayne Youth where they over exceeded all expectations and won the game a resounding 7-0.
Two weeks later the boys played again against Great Notley Youth and lost a tight fought game 3-2. This included coming back from 3-0 down at half time.
The boys, parents, John and Darren are all very much looking forward to the season ahead and hope to develop as much as they have this year.
