Brampton Rovers AFC Football Club has been established since 1966 and for the 2010/2011 season we will have 20 Teams playing in several different leagues, covering most junior age groups and including an Under 14 Girls team and an adult team.We are looking to increase the number of girls teams playing in the coming seasons and welcome enquiries from anybody interested in joining us.
We also run a Saturday Morning Club aimed at Children of all abilities starting with an ages 5 - 7 beginners group and an 8 years and over group. We welcome interest from boys and girls of any ability.
We offer a safe and fun environment for all age groups to enjoy the game of football in Chesterfield.
The majority of our Coaches are F.A. trained.
The Club was the first junior club in Chesterfield to be awarded the F.A Charter Standard. We are always looking to improve and welcome your suggestions to help us do this.
The Club is run by volunteers and the organisation is a non-profit making as all funds are re-invested back into the Club.
Our vision is to encourage and promote a healthy sports activity through football for children ages 5 to 18.
This also brings about other benefits such as giving the children another social circle in which they can make friends, develop and grow in confidence. Bonds forged in junior football are very often life long. Football is an international language
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
