Final league game vs Oxford Grove Tigers.

The reds finished their league obligations with a good win vs Oxford. I must admit that our team is not the same one compared to the one when we started our league games last September. The improvement is substantial and i think that the praise that we have received also demontrates the respect to our gaming style by other teams.  

The reds started strong with high pressure and very good 1-2's and some excellent combinations and change of play. S. Hamer took the ball from the left wing combined with J. Warburton who created the space inside the opposition area and finished it with ease, 1-0. The reds kept pressuring and had 10 efforts on goal within a short period of time, however oxford scored 2 goals which made the reds think twice about missing out their chances.

The 2nd half the reds kept going and demontrated some good footballing skills with 1-2's, through ball passing and overload to the wings to bring the opposition out of their defence. R. Hamer and A. Naylor brought reds back to the lead with 1 assist and 2 goals respectively. The reds seemed in control and the 4th goal by J. Howard competed our inevitable come back, 2-4!


Man of the Match: J. Warburton, Josh showed some incedible physique and stamina running both left and right wings a number of times, and scoring 1 goal in the process.. a great on field captain!
