TEAM HISTORY
Post-War Years (29/03/07)

Brandon Town were reformed in 1946 after the end of the Second World War under the banner of Brandon Recreation and Sports Club.

At this time there was an intense rivalry between Brandon Town and Brandon Town Street. Before the Playing Fields were used, the team played on the the fields now opposite Manor Road in front of Brandon Hall. After joining the Ouse Valley League Brandon then joined the Bury and District League and had success there. They were sucessful in their application to join the East Anglian League and remained their until the merger of the League with the Norfolk and Suffolk League in 1964-5 where they have been members ever since.

The Photo Gallery includes some photos of the Brandon Teams from the early post war years.
