2007/08, 1st season for this squad, C&EE League Division 3 Champions.

Colne Engaine Div 1 V Div 3 Brightlingsea Regent 'A' took them to penalties in an exciting semi final that finished 2-2 after extra time and Colne Engaine winning 5-4 on penalties. It looked like the ‘Owen Family James and Tom’ had won the game for Colne Engaine both getting a goal apiece but Keiron Baker and Tom Doherty thought different!!!

at the University of Essex Great Bentley A v Harwich Rangers and Colne Engaine v Brightlingsea Regent A.

Division Three had Brightlingsea Regent A going back on top of the Division when Beating Beacon Hill A 5-1. Two apiece for Joel Walsh and Steve Cook with one from Bruce Barnard were good enough for the victory.

So Brightlingsea Regent A, 3rd Div new boys, did the unexpected and put 6 passed Div 2 Nayland. A hatrick for Nick Holyman and a goal apiece for Mike Dowman and Luke Gould plus one own goal were enough.

What a start for C.Barnard in his debut as a manager 1-o victory after extra time, against a experianced team in the league.Goal scored by K.Baker.
