Following the recent 10 weeks training and 2 football festivals, we think that we may be in a position now to enter the year 4 & 5 girls into a league for next season. We have been invited to form a mini league with Lt Oakley, Lawford & Colchester Town.
We believe that we have found a manager to undertake the coaching, she will need some help in organising matches, getting the girls to games, collecting subs, taking down the goals etc. She will probably need some help in a volunteer parent actually referring the home matches for her.
Before we commit to this as a club, we need to understand that all of the year 4 & 5 girls actually want to play and will be available to play, and we probably need 1 or 2 more girls. We need your commitment to ensure that what we start off does not fade away after a few weeks.
The intention is for games to be every 2 weeks starting the 1st week-end in October. Games will be of the same nature as mini-soccer, 40 minutes duration. We will play our “home” games on Regent Rd recreation ground where we did our original training sessions. Kick off times will be at the time most suitable to you all, where possible.
If this sounds good for you, but importantly good for your daughter, then we would like to invite you to meet with us this Friday, August 15th, 7 o’clock, at BUFC clubhouse, North Rd, Brightlingsea to discuss further and to meet the new manager. This is just before a full club meeting which starts @ 7.45, which you would be welcome to stay for if you want to know more about the club.
If you cannot attend this meeting please call us to let us know if you would or would not want your daughter to be part of this team.
Best Regards. Kath & David Girling Tel: 01206 305865
