Bryncoch Football Club was formed in 1981, when nine year old Ian Wood pestered his father Gordon to play football, they entered the West Glamorgan Junior AFL in the 1981/82 season at under 10's at that time it was all eleven a side.
Since then Bryncoch Football Club has had many representatives at various age groups for both West Glam Juniors and the Junior Neath League which is now defunct.
The Badge (The Bee) was designed by Steven Morgan, son of ex secretary Brian Morgan.
The Club in it's earlier years were very proud to have won the "Fair Play" award on several occassions, this award was given every season.
In 1988 a Senior team was formed, this was to accommodate the older boys who had passed through the ages up to the final age of under sixteen.
Unfortunately after a number of successful seasons they folded due to the fact that many juniors went into under 19's rugby.
In 2006, the Clubs Silver Jubilee Season, Bryncoch held it's 1st annual Bryncoch Tournament within Bryncoch itself, at the Cricket and Rugby Club, winning 4 of the 6 ages. The Club had now grown to 19 Teams with around 200 boys and girls playing "The Beautiful Game".
On Saturday 16th September 2006 there was another chapter in the History of Bryncoch F.C. written with the 1st matches being played at the new home of Bryncoch F.C. "Waunceirch playing fields".
In 2007 Bryncoch FC became a FAW Accredited Club.
In 2010 Bryncoch started up a Senior Team again for the boys to aspire to play for after Junior Football, made up from mainly last seasons Under 16 Team, boys who have previously played for Bryncoch, Bryncoch boys parents and current Bryncoch Junior coaches.
