BT Trimley first entered the Suffolk and Ipswich League in 1977 and have played under various names, including British Telecom, BT Research and BT Hollies.
More recently the club gained promotion to the senior division in 2007 but were relegated the following season. The club narrowly avoided relegation from division one in 2008-09 and in 2009-10 an eight match unbeaten run at the end of the season saw the club finish mid table. The reserves enjoyed mixed fortunes last season but also managed a respectable position in Intermediate B.
