Bugbrooke opened with some nice football but battling defending from Matthew Thomas and Jacob Strausa couldn’t stop Stars from taking a two nil lead. Bugbrooke gradually pulled themselves back into it and Nathan Piper got a good shot away after some great passing between James Dawson and Jordi Fitzhugh. Cam Burley also went close after another good move. Zak North made a couple of fine saves and Sam Cattle played with skill and intelligence in the middle of the park. For all their effort the Badgers weren’t quite able to prise open a stubborn Stars defence.
