BULWELL FC

BULWELL FC were formed in August 2006 in the NOTTS AMATEUR ALLIANCE PREMIER DIVISION.

The club is run by people who have a passion for football, With a wealth of experience at the grass roots level.

A Committee was formed and the running of the club is ALWAYS put to the vote of the BOARD.

The Club has estabalised itself both on and off the field in a short space of time.

Yet we are still looking at progressing further and entering into the higher standard of football as soon as possible.

This would mean a change of facilities at our current stadia, this is due to the venue not having the correct criteria in place and is also due to close next season for renovation (River leen school).

The playing members of the club are mostly from in and around the BULWELL AREA (90%) with a few faces from other areas of nottingham.

The season 2006/2007 the clubs intentions were to stabalise itself, then hopefully attract some of the better standard players to compete well in the following league campaign.

The season was a very successful one with us reaching the NOTTS FA INTERMEDIATE CUP FINAL (Runners Up), and winning the League Title in our first season together. This achievement has exceeded all expectations from all involved within the club. The arrival of several new signings proved to be a masterstroke as they fitted in like they had been with us for years, this creating a very good dressing room and beyond.

After a rocky start to the season we really started to put in some excellent performances. especially in our cup campaign, defeating no less than 4 sides from the Central Midlands Leagues on our way to the final, only to be beaten but not ashamed by Blidworth Welfare (CML Premier Division)as many of the neutrals watching stated that the best side lost on that evening at Hucknall Town FC.

Many have said we are the best FOOTBALLING side in the Notts Amateur Alliance league, But that doesn't mean you are going to be the winners, and to the players credit they just took in thier stride and continued to play some attractive football and put in the hard work and continue to have a good team ethic which is whats required to gain SUCCESS.
This season we have started exactly theway we finished the last playing some neat football and continuing to hold on to the top spot in the league campaign and yet another good cup campaign. again we aquired a few new faces that have more than added to the squad, Striker Duane Haywood being the one signing that has hit the ground running notching a goal in every game he has participated in thus far (12/1/2008). we are striving for bigger and better things for the club in an off field aspect with the committee working hard behind the scenes to achieve what the club desires, arranging fundraising evenings and the general duties on match days.
long may this continue.
