A bad day at the office for Burton. With several players unavailable and others dropping out the night before Burton were only able to name 11 players.
It got worse 20 minutes in, with Pat Skivington going off injured after a poor challenge which went unpunished by the referree.
Three of the first half goals were offside but with no linesman Highfield took advantage.
The only highlight was a goal from Sonny Ahmed.
A change of formation and a spirited second half performance lifted the gloom as Burton's season ended on a low with a 6-2 defeat.
