Following recent advice regarding team tours Buxton JFC is introducing a revised policy for teams wishing to enter tournaments or take part in tours over and above participation in their league competition.
This form is available for download in club documents and ALL sections must be completed before the club approves any trip.
Teams should be aware that if you wish to take part in any competition DURING the season your League has the right of veto and teams should be very careful about touring over xmas and easter.
DCFA approval to play outside of Derbyshire is also required in writing.
The Club is required to provide the necessary Risk Assessments to its insurance company every year and teams need to be aware that such RA’s are required for Travel, accommodation and any activities other than football undertaken at the competitions.
Team Managers should also be aware that players travelling to tournaments should do so in a parental/guardians vehicle and “lifts” should only be given where you have written approval from the appropriate parent. A separate RA is required where a mini bus is used.
The club will not accept any liability where managers have not sought approval for tours or participation in competitions
As a result the new form will be used as from now and all teams should ensure that they are returned to Doug Baldwin as soon as you have received your permission from the DCFA and completed the necessary RA’s.
Teams travelling abroad MUST take out additional insurance as required by the tour company.
