| East's Reign Sets In Admiration |
This season has been a time of excitement, disappointment, victory and loss. There have been displays of the magic and creativity of the beautiful game, displays of the true art and skill of goal scoring, and of course, being in the Mining League, also the demonstrations of appalling play and some shocking performances.
This season has been a season of consolidation with last years team, who were on the brink of relegation, starting to find there form, and the addition of the new players really enhanced the mentality and general attributes of the squad, which combined, saw a promotion battle.
The bottle match can make or break seasons! This was realised last season when after losing in the cup to Frogpool, then to lose the Bottle the following weekend and then to go and lose the Barrel after that, CSM only managed one win out of the thirteen games that followed. In stark contrast this seasons epic win at the Bottle, and then the competent beating of the old boys at the Barrel, paved the way for a terrific summer term which saw CSM only lose once at the hands of Truro and succumbed to a draw by Mount Ambrose.
A good end to the season with CSM finishing Third and with high spirits for the next as the squad will continue to grow. |
