A Brief History

The women’s section of the Cambridge City has been in existence for over 40 years. It was initially born out of a local company Pye Phillips. Over the years the vision and determination of players and parents has kept the club going until it formally became Cambridge City Women & Girls in 2001. The girl’s section has existed since 1995.

Since forming as a Women & Girls section the club has gone from strength to strength. There are 8 teams at all age groups from under 10’s right through to seniors at 16+. Last season 6 out of 8 teams won their leagues and finished as champions.

The club offers football to players who just want a kick about and those who have aspirations to play at the highest level. Our Ladies first team currently play in the South East Combination league, one below the national leagues and 7 of our players also play at County level. Our reserve team play in the Eastern Region Division One –North
