Formed in the 80's by Chairman Darren Higgin, from an amalgamation of Fearnhead Youth and The Canaries (Birchwood League). Canaries Stalwarts Neil Cunningham, Peter Hancock and Steve Hazlehurst joined together with Local side Fearnhead (Mark Biddle, Darren Higgin, Steve "the Pig" Leicester) to form the Stocks Canaries. Successful throughout the 90's with both League & cup victories a regular achievement, Retirement of greats and financial restriction saw them relegated in the late 90's. Peter Hancock then took the reins of management and after signing veteran powerhouse "Ten Goal" Tony Sullivan and ex international Ian Perdue gained promotion in his 1st year as manager. Now after 10 Years in charge his introduction of the academy has given a steady stream of new talent such as Graeme Perdue, Phil Kelly and teenage sensation Ashley Moore, added to that the signing of versatile welsh international Mike Tilling and former Fearnhead skipper Lee Howard can only suggest a return to major success is just around the corner
