Carlisle City Reserves were formed along with the first team and joined the Carlisle & District League. The team was jointly managed by Ged Archibald and Ronnie Walker and they managed the side for four seasons when Ged Archibald went onto manage the first team and George Walker became the manager. George managed the side until 1985 when Dougie Ivison took over as Player/Manager. City moved from the Carlisle & District to the newly formed Cumbria League. In 1990 Dougie Ivison went as first team manager and Mark Wilkinson took over as Player/Manager. The reserves was again managed by Dougie Ivison in 1995 and was assisted by Mike Bell and City went back into the Carlisle & District League in 1997 and in 2002 the Carlisle & District League folded and in that year City finally won the League Championship. The resrves then went into the Cumberland League and Edgar Wills came through our Under 18 manager to take over the side and we were placed in the second division of the Cumblerland League and we gained promotion to the Premier League when we finished second in 2006.
