Established in 1885, Castle Donington Town Football Club is the only men's team in the village. Playing on a Saturday afternoon in the Belfield Midlands Regional Alliance, in recent years the club has entertained teams such as Alfreton Town, Belper Town and local derbies with Long Eaton United and Melbourne. Since its launch the club has had an illustrious winning history with the most recent being the Leicestershire and Rutland FA Junior Cup in 2006.
The club is an important part of the community and recently saw the development of a reserves side to provide a route for up and coming players to break into the senior side.
As with all clubs we are always looking for new players or volunteers to help run the club, if you're interested please contact Steve King (Manager) on 07984 475207 or Sue Shearman (Secretary) on 07976 777 898.
In junior football, should all players be given the same amount of time on the pitch during a game, regardless of ability?
Yes, always. Getting kids involved is the most important thing.
Yes, unless it is an important game.
No. Winning is important at all ages, so the best players should play more often.
