| Whitchurch Blues | 1 |
| Celts U16s | 1 |
A cracking game finished all square at a soggy Caedelyn Park. Celts were set up for counter-attacking with 3 forwards which meant that the other 8 players were very busy dealing with a lively Whitchurch Blues team. The first-half was end-to-end but the deadlock was broken just before half-time. Rhys Hawkins, collected the ball in the middle and threaded a reverse ball through to Barni Gubb, who beat his man to the near post and knocked a great ball past the keeper for George Govier to sweep it into the net.
The second-half started poorly when the Blues punished Celts for not clearing their lines. Whitchurch gradually exerted more pressure; but Celts always looked dangerous with their 3 forwards. Celts did hit the net with a superb volley from George Govier; but it was ruled out for a verbal infringement. Overall a fair result and a great team display from the 11 available players following the gameplan throughout.
Man of the Match: Alex Mladenovic - fantastic display at the heart of defence!
