Central Ajax was formed in 1978 to meet the footballing needs of youngsters in the
Warwick area. The Club's name originated from their first "home", three pitches
situated in the grounds of the now closed Central Hospital at Hatton.
In 1989 the Club were informed of the future closing of the hospital and the
development of the grounds for housing. The search for a new home culminated in
the purchase of nearly 20 acres of fields in Hampton Road. These were levelled,
drains inserted and seed planted with teams started to play on "Ajax Park" in
1994. The Clubhouse followed and was completed in 2002.
Central Ajax now has several teams playing in different leagues and development
squads for ages 5 to 8.
Trials are held in May each year as are the famous Central Ajax 6-a-sides.
