Club History
05 Mar 2007

The club was formed in 1937 when a single team was entered in the South Section of the Lancashire Amateur League. The club was named Chadderton Grammar School Old Boys (GSOB), all players having attended the School. The team played at the school playing fields on Broadway in Chadderton. A second team was introduced in 1948 and a third team in 1955. The 3rd team played at Foxdenton Park in Chadderton.

The teams switched grounds when the new Chadderton Grammar School for Boys was built on Burnley Lane in Chadderton in the early 1960's. A fourth team was introduced in 1976 and the club changed name to Old Chaddertonians at the same time due to the School being changed to a comprehensive School.

In 1986 the name was changed again to simply Chaddertonians.

In 1996 the 1st and 2nd teams switched grounds to the British Aerospace ground in Failswoth. The 3rd and 4th remained at the school until 2003 when they moved to Crossley playing fields in Chadderton.

In 2010 the 1st and 2nd teams switched to Hopwood Sports Arena and the 3rd and 4th now play at Foxdenton once more.

Team honours are provide on the relevant team pages.
