Team update.

I am pleased with the progress that we have made so far through this season. Results have been good and the players are putting on some good shows for fair sized crowds. The lads are making a bit of a name for themselves as entertainers, all I have to do now is apply the football!! Seriously though, I am proud of what the lads are doing and I know their parents are, as well as the Club officials. Lads like Luke Craig, Callum Scott, Dinky, Kingy, Kieron and others have been with me for a while now and it is their efforts, and continued imrovement, that enable us to attract the quality of players that we now have. It is nice when players like Ollie go away to pro clubs - it is even nicer for me when they come back! The quality of recent signings is tremendous. Players like Jack, Fungai, Bazza and Ryan(s) who want to come and play for Chelmsley Town and are able to say that their game is improving. Lads who dont want to leave, even though I cant give them as much game as I want to (Cal) and they would get if they played at their own age. I was saddened by the departures of a couple of lads. Tom has gone over to the "dark side" and maybe will ref us one day. Good luck to him. Bones has retired, but is still to be seen at our games supporting the lads. If I havent mentioned anyone it is not for any reason other than I gotta go to bed now! God bless and thanks to all of you for the great time I am having!!!!
Club Chairman Wins Prestigious Award

Congratulations to our club Chairman on his recent award, from the Birmingham County FA, in recognition of his great work not just at Chelmsley but across the County, in his many roles. Dek received the Colin Morris Memorial Award at a function attended by FA and other football people, at the Great Barr Hotel on 24th September. Well done and well desrved!
