Report

This match was the last of the season for the first team. It has been a very disappointing season. Most players had still not got over the disappointment of losing the Cup Final and only ten players turned up for this fixture. Christian Hewitt eventually arrived to bring us up to eleven players.

The first half was very entertaining. With barely two minutes gone we were given a great opportunity to take the lead. A cross was delivered into the Pilots area. It was met by the hand of one of their players, and we were awarded a penalty. The penalty was taken by Dylan Moreno and was well saved by their keeper. A minute later, Scott Kelly took a free kick that went wide. On the 4^th minute, John Prescott had a shot that went across their goal. On the 8^th minute, Israel Weaving had a shot from outside the area. It deceived their keeper and gave us a 1-0 lead. A minute later, they were level. A shot from distance went under Michael Birkett in our goal to make it 1-1. On the 10^th minute  they had a shot that hit our post. On the 13^th minute, Dylan Moreno made it 2-1 with a good shot. On the 15^th minute, they were level once again. This time they had a shot that flew over Michael into our goal. On the 22^nd minute, they were awarded a free kick. The kick was met with a header from one of their players which ended in the back of our net giving them a 3-2 lead. On the 28^th minute, they extended that lead following a corner which was headed in. On the 31^st minute, John Prescott had a shot that went wide of the Pilots goal. On the 35^th minute, Christian Hewitt arrived and we were up to eleven players. On the 40^th minute, we got a goal back. A shot from Scott Kelly was totally misjudged by their keeper and ended up in the back of the net. We went in at half time 4-3 down.

On the 3^rd minute of the second half, the Pilots keeper once again misjudged the path of the ball but unfortunately the ball went just wide of the goal. On the 6^th minute, Scott Kelly took a free kick that was attacked by Isven Effigenio. Unfortunately he just failed to connect with the ball. On the 8^th minute, Israel Weaving had a shot that went wide. On the 14^th minute, Isven had a shot on target that was saved by the Pilots keeper. On the 28^th minute, the same player had a shot that went wide. On the 39^th minute, Pilots had a corner that was met by one of their players whose header hit our post and rebounded to safety. It was the last action of the match.
