2006/2007 Season |
Winning the league & with 3 other teams gaining promotion last season (one of them being Enfield Crusaders who had finished 5th) expectations were high for this season. But CSFC struggled to find their feet in Division 1.
They lost 9 of the 18 league games they played and finished 7th in the league.
With players missing due to holidays the season started off with a 2-1 loss to Larsens, but then the return of players for the next game saw a morale boosting 5-0 victory over Northmet (Riverside). With Justin Copping coming back to the side, new signings Adam Parlour & goalkeeper Mike Field from the dispanded Hoddesdon Snooker Club & new striker Neil Somerville CSFC started the season well with wins in the next few games. But the form was not to last and defeats & loss of form crept in.
With a few games remaining CSFC were in 4th position but losses in their last few games saw them finish 7th, 4pts behind 4th place, 26pts behind the division winners and local rivals Wormley Rovers and 17 pts off a promotion place.
At the end of the season Danny Howell decided to step down as manager to spend more time with his family. Leon hughton was to take charge the following season.

2005/2006 Season |
The summer break saw the return of some of the players that left at the end of the 2003/2004 Season and some new signings which brought success and winning ways back to the club.
CSFC dropped 10 points all season losing only 2 league games on their way to winning the Division 2 title and finished 5pts ahead of 2nd placed Hoddesdon Snooker Club.
Success comes with its downfalls. This season saw the retirement of another senior player. Richard Webb had to retire due to injury to his shoulder.
Again CSFC fell short in cup competitions going out in the early rounds.

2004/2005 Season |
With 7 players either defecting to other teams or retiring during the summer break expectations were not high for this season and rightly so. this is a season that CSFC would rather forget about.
CSFC lost 13 of 20 league games, only winning 4 games & drawing 3. New players were brought in but were not up to the standard of the players that CSFC had lost. This meant CSFC finished 10th out of 11 in the league and only 3pts off of relegation.
CSFC in the cup was not much better this season either. They were knocked out of all 3 competitions the entered by the 2nd round.
A career ending injury to Danny Howell meant he took up the role as manager on a full time basis and his loss weakened the side even more.

2003/2004 Season |
The 2003/2004 season again brought promotion to CSFC and the 1st of only 2 trophies to date the Division 3 title. This was a closely fought division with 3 points separating the top 4 places and top spot came down to the last game of the season where Wormley Rovers had to win and win big to clinch the title. They won the match but not by enough goals and CSFC won the league on goal difference.
Unfortunately CSFC did not do so well in cup competitions in the 2003/2004 season, they were out of all 3 competitions they entered by the 3rd round.
7 players left for other teams or went into retirement at the end of this season, this was to prove costly in the following season.

2002/2003 Season |
This season saw vast improvements. Not only did CSFC gain promotion to Division 3 they also reached the final of the Hertfordshire County Cup.
Again there was new signings this season, Richard Fox, Terry Sawyer, Dale Nicholas, John Bliss, Terry Bliss & Danny Gayler. The latter has now made more appearances for the club than any other player even though he did not get a decent run in the team until the loss of Tony Webb for the rest of the season through injury.
CSFC finished 2nd in the lague this season, 4pts off the Division winners, local rivals Wormley Rovers.
CSFC also reached the final the Hertfordshire County Cup but had to field a weakened side due to injuries and lost 6-1. The scoreline was flattering to the opposition though.

2001/2002 Season |
This season saw the introduction of new players to the team. Tony Webb & Adam Marsh being 2 of them.
CSFC 2nd season saw them finish in 5th place again with 33pts, but this time the were way off the leaders finishing a massive 20pts behind the Division winners Eleanor Cross O.B. & 13 pts off promotion.
The season ended on a sour note with a 7-3 loss to Eleanor Cross O.B., the loss of players & manager Alfie Norman parting company with the club. Players Danny Howell & Richard Webb took over as joint managers of the club with 5 games left to play.
The Club also had a final warning from the league about their discipline. major improvements was needed.

2000/2001 Season |
In Cheshunt (Sunday) FC's 1st season they did not play in the Amber & Black kit of today, the played in Green & White striped shirts, White shorts & White Socks and where sponsored by the now deceased Old Pond Public House. With a limited squad CSFC finished 5th, only 9pts off promotion and 1pt off 3rd place. For a team of players who had not played together before this was quite a succesful season. Andy Hunt is the only player who played this season that is still playing for CSFC.
