Having participated in the West Cheshire Division Two, the good guys finally achieved their dream of promotion to West Cheshire Division One after a fantastic season in the 10/11 campaign. The 1st team joined the West Cheshire league in 2002 and secured a creditable 4th place finish in their first season as well as lifting the Chester Senior Cup. The following season, a second placed finish secured promotion. Since then a succession of mid table finishes have been creditable although possibly somewhat frustrating given the talent within the squad. However, the 08/09 season ended in glory with the side lifting the Senior Cup for the 3rd time in it's history with an upset against West Cheshire One runners up Upton. The 09/10 campaign saw a change in management and an influx of youth to compliment the expereince. It brought about a change in fortunes with a solid campaign ending in heartbreak by missing out on promotion on goal difference, compounded by defeat in two cup finals. However, the expereince lead to more steel for the 10/11 campaign with the good guys not losing a league game till late March and this base helped seal promotion with a couple of games to spare. To cap a memorable campaign, the Senior Cup was captured at the Exacta stadium. With a couple of new additions, the Amber Army hope to secure a respectible league position in their maiden campaign in the top division.
