Despite blustery conditions both teams started at hectic pace. Nomads were in postive attacking mode, with only 6 mins on the clock they scored through Connor Beesley after a neat move on the left. Blacon were not in the game as Nomads pressed their goal. Aidey crossed the ball from the left just a fraction in front of George who couldn't quite reach the ball. Nomads were so close to making it 2.0. With 20 mins gone Nomads made their first changes of the game just as Blacon were starting to come alive, they capitilised on the changes and scored 2 in quick succession raiding the Nomads left side. The action continued to be hit and run with no real passing moves from either side. As half time beckoned the Blacon no10 found time and space in the centre of the pitch and hit a rasping shot from outside the D which keeper Carey did well to parry. Unfortunately the Blacon strikers reacted quicker than the Nomads players and tapped in the free ball.
Half team team talk from coach Carey needed to be inspirational, he tried to rally the troops.
Nomads tried hard to match Blacon in the second half but fell short of holding possession and finding passes which could get behind the Blacon defence. The second half remained scoreless despite Nomads forcing several corners which were closley contested. The final score finshed 3-1 to Blacon , good luck to them in the in the next game.
