Chetwynd complete double in debut season

Chetwynd Arms FC began their existence in Division 5 of the NDSFL, and quickly made their intentions clear as they swept up the honours with a league and cup double.

The league cup was the first silverwear to be won, as they saw off a determined Attleborough Potters side 4-1 at Ambleside. Rob Jones stole all of the headlines with a virtuoso display that saw him grab all 4 goals and the Man of the Match award.

Their league form was equally as devastating as they won 18 straight games, before dropping points with a couple of midweek draws to eventually finish the season with a record that read Played 24, Won 22, D 2, L 0. In the process they scored well over 100 goals, and boasted the top scorer in all 7 divisions with James Darlaston posting an impressive 63 goals.

They were rewarded for their efforts with a 4 league promotion to Division 1, and will look to build on their early success and establish themselves in their Premier Divisions of the NDSFL.
