How it all began

In 2006 Ben Jackson got together with some friends and set up a team called 'Kings Rock' to play in the Macclesfield soccer 7's league. The only faces still around (11's wise) from that 1st campaign are Paul Stevenson (assistant player manager / treasurer), Pete Thompson (current player) and Nathan Taylor (current player). The first two seasons were challenging to say the least however league position always improved, the team name was rebranded after season one. Last December the team were crowned champions of Division One. With this foresight in mind Ben decided to start an 11's team and in March 2009 enlisted the help of Paul, who had over 10 years experience in the MSL. Before they knew it they had 11 players, and with now currently around 40 players having signed for the 'Chilli Banana' teams in Feb 2010 a 2nd CB7's team will be born called "The Red Hot Chilli Bananas", this side will be player managed by current 11's player Adam Searle. Our intention is clear... Have as much fun as possible whilst at the same time continue to improve. Rumour has it that as soon as CB11's win 3 games consecutively all players will receive a free Sunday buffet, this rumour however is strongly denied by Ben!!! (He then went on to say ''maybe 5!!!'')
