Churchbury FC played its first friendly game in January 1978 beating Enfield FC Supporters Club at Bury Street Recreation Ground.
The club joined the then Brooke Waltham League for season 1978-79 to play its first competitive matches.
Churchbury still play in the Mercury Waltham Sunday League and will be playing in Division 4 for the 2008-2009 season. Home matches are Played at Enfield Playing Fields.
Churchbury won the Division 6 title in the 1994/95 season.
In the 2006/2007 season the club reached the quarter finals of the Middlesex Sunday Junior Cup despite playing every round away from home.
In the 2008/2009 season the club reached the semi final of the league junior cup but lost 1-3 and failed to reach what would have been our first cup final.
