Was part of the original group of 'lads' who first named the team and competed in a local 7-a-Side League.
However, once the team appeared to be folding he took over the reigns as Manager and applied to join the Harry Dewhurst Memorial League in 2001.
Upon acceptance of the application he helped form a committee and with their help forged the backbone of what has becoming the modern day Church Town Football Club.
