Essex County Womens League Division One

The summer of 2010 saw a number of changes to the Reserve team. The Essex County Women's League went from three divisions to two divisions, and the creation of a new Premier League meant that the Reserves found themselves in Division One.

At the end of the 2009 - 10 season, the decision was taken to move the u16s girls team into ladies football, and they were integrated into the ladies football section, along with u16s manager Barry Knight taking over as the Reserve team manager.

The result was dramatic, with the Reserve team finishing in their highest ever league position of third in the Essex County Division One, scoring seventy six goals in the process.

The season started well, with three wins and a draw from the first six games, but another weather disrupted winter meant that the Reserves found themselves in mid-table at the start of March, although having several games in hand over most teams. Despite the backlog of fixtures, the Reserves went on an impressive end of season run, winning seven and drawing one of their final nine league games, which propelled them into third place.

The Reserves also reached the quarter finals of the League Cup, before being narrowly beaten in a close match against the eventual cup winners, Chelmsford City Reserves.

However, the Reserves did collect their first piece of silverware, as they won the inaugural Essex County FA Good Friday Cup.
