The home team kicked off with the advantage of an almost gale force wind at their backs. Early runs from Liam Fawcett and Joe Godwin were blocked and then jamie Stapleton hit a shot just wide. A good save by Dominic Yeates was followed by excellent defending by Tom Micklewright and Jamal Shamim.Good defensive work by James Garvin and Charlie McElvaney broke up a dangerous home team attack. Chris Salmon and Liam Mitchell combined to set up a half chance for Liam Fawcett and then a great pass by Jamie Stapleton led to a run on goal from Chris Salmon. At the other end Jamal Shamim and Andrew Currie made important headed clearances but with 11 minutes of the match gone the home team took the lead, Dominic Yeates made a save from a free kick but the rebound was hammered home.


Brinkburn 1-0 Cleveland Juniors 


Good battling by Liam Fawcett almost created a chance for the visitors but with 15 minutes gone the home team scored again after a harshly awarded free kick.

Great battling by Joe Godwin and Charlie McElvaney broke up a dangerous home team attack whilst at the other end a nice move involving Andrew Currie, Liam Mitchell and Jamie Stapleton was well defended. Tom Micklewright and Jamal Shamim had to make important tackles and then James Garvin  broke up another attack. Jamie Stapleton made a spectacular clearance after the home team had hit the bar and then Dominic Yeates did well to push clear a dangerous corner. Liam Mitchell hit a shot just wide and with 30 minutes of the game gone the visitors pulled a goal back, Chris Salmon scoring after terrific work from Liam Fawcett.

With three minutes of the half remaining the visitors almost snatched an equaliser,Liam Fawcett hitting a tremendous shot just over the bar. In the dying moments of the half, however, the home team scored again to make the half time score-

Dispite having the wind at their backs Cleveland Juniors were finding it difficult to create any clear cut chances. A free kick from Andrew Currie was headed clear and then a good move involving Liam Mitchell and Chris Salmon ended with a shot from Liam Fawcett which went just wide. A good run by Joe Godwin led to a cross and a half chance for Jamie Stapleton and then good defensive work by Tom Micklewright and Jamal Shamim kept out the home team.With 25 minutes of the second half gone the home team scored again and once more from a harshly awarded free kick.

Dispite putting in a great deal of effort Cleveland Juniors were unable to get back into the game and the score remained at full time-
