Codsall Athletic FC was founded in 2005. Now Team Manager Jake Wright and Club Secretary Andy Cunningham set up the team in August 2005. After leaving Sedgley Town (West Midlands League) Jake and Andy decided to create there own team and it all began.

In November 2005 Scott Mckechnie was appointed as Chairman and quickly installed the club sponsor of Midland Photographic (Schools).

By the turn of 2006 we began to form a squad mainly of friends with the goal of joining the Beacon League for Season 2006/2007. The team changed and changed our first game came in the shape of a friendly against Birmingham Midshires. It was a memorable game with a final score of 2-2. After a number of friendlies throughout the summer of 2006 and many comings and goings we join The Beacon League's Division 1 for 2006/2007 season.
