The Coptic Pharaohs are a Church based football team located in Coulsdon. The Church is called Saint Mary and Saint Shenouda's Coptic Orthodox Church. The Coptic Pharaohs were founded in 2003. The men's senior team were the first club to win and retain the COFTA Cup in both 2005 and 2006. The Pharaohs are also the first ever Coptic Church team to take part in competitive tournaments involving non-Copt Churches. The women's team were formed in 2006 and in their very first competitive tournament won the COFTA Cup and are looking to retain it in the 2008/2009 season. Overall the Club caters to around 80 girls and boys from age 14 through to 30 in a unique and Christian approach to sport.
