Cornard Ladies FC was formed in 2000, however, prior to that and for 3 years previously the team played as Sudbury Wanderers Ladies FC at the now Sudbury AFC ground in Brundon Lane Sudbury. The move to Cornard was made given the generous package offered by Cornard Utd and its owner and manager Chris Symes. We play on the main Cornard Utd pitch, train on it's floodlit training ground and have access to the changing facilities and clubhouse.
Cornard Ladies FC played in the Eastern Region Womens Football League (ERWFL) until season 2005/2006. We moved to the Essex County Womens Football League due to the extensive travelling required in the ERWFL.
In 2009 we moved again to the Suffolk Womens Football League and in the season 2010/2011 we are currently looking to finish within the top 3, with a final in the league cup.
We have had generous support from local businesses particlularly Paul Tatum of Fleetway Garage & Audio Centre in Sudbury. He has funded 3 new smart kits/tracksuits.
We wish to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors, supporters, Chris Symes and those volunteers who have helped the club over the years.
