The reserves have tasted success in recent years under the management of now Senior team manager Mark Turner who recently lead the Senior team to NSL Championship glory in 2006/2007.
In 2004/5 the reserves had a great season winning the League Cup and finishing runners up to Boots Athletic in the Division 1 league.
The 2006/07 season saw the reserve team struggle with the reserve team players stepping up to the Senior side with Mark. In 2006/2007 the reserve side showed great character climbing from 2nd bottom after a poor opening to the campaign to finish in 5th place making them one of the most respected sides in the 1st Division and contenders for the 2007/08 title.
Managers Mike Turner and Rich Johnson (good looking and not so good looking) has managed to keep every player he adopted midway through the 2006/07 campaign and brought in some young, and old, talent to bolster his squad. A new goalkeeper, the same sound, solid reliable defence, additions to midfield and attack should prove to be a real benefit to the manager.
Expectations are high for the reserves this year both within the club and from fellow NSL Div 1 competition showing great respect for the club in general after 2006/07 achievements. The players know that they are capable of winning something, they tasted success under one Turner can they do it again under this one
