Smurfit Kappa Recycling is part of the Smurfit Kappa Group, the global leader in paper based packaging. We aim to set new standards of packaging production and recycling services in the UK. With our origins dating back over 70 years, the Smurfit Kappa organisation has operations in Europe, Asia and South America with more than 500 facilities worldwide. In the UK, the Recycling Division consists of a network of recycling facilities, ranging from 8 regional centres offering local, dedicated solutions to an extensive nationwide haulage service for large volumes of material. In addition, our two Smurfit Kappa Group Paper Mills, in Birmingham and Kent, consume 500,000 tonnes of the paper and cardboard that we recover annually - thus providing a key UK re-processing resource.
