Cowplain Youth FC was founded in April 2004 by two coaches who decided to join forces to create a new club that would concentrate on providing opportunities for children (both boys and girls) to learn, develop and improve their skills in football. These aspects were so fundamental that they were included in the aims and objectives of the Club�s Constitution.

In 2004 the FA presented the Club with the Charter Standard Club award. This was achieved in record breaking time and the Club is proud of this achievement not only because it reflects the hard work that has been put in by the Committee but also because we were the first football club in the Borough of Havant to have achieved such an accolade.

The Club started with one squad of U11 year olds. In 2005 the Club added a new U12 all girls team. In 2006 Cowplain Youth expanded to include two mixed U10�s teams. Since then we have started up a feeder team each season from Reception/Year 1 children to play in the U7�s league. The goal of the Club is to have teams from U7�s to U18�s.

Our home ground for training is Cowplain Community School, Hart Plain Avenue, Cowplain. In summer we use the grass pitch; in winter some of our teams train on the astro turf pitches, while the others prefer to train on the grass on a Saturday. We play our home games in Emsworth on council pitches supplied by Havant Borough Council.

All our coaches are FA qualified, CRB checked and first aid trained. To date we have a Child Welfare Officer, Two FA Level 2 coaches, ten FA Level 1 coaches and our head coach is UEFA A Level 4 qualified.
