Creation of the Team - 2009

In August 2009 a late decision was made to create another football team under the umbrella of Coylton Boys Club and so it became, Coylton 1997's was born. Starting several years behind other teams, no experience, little infrastructure but we ploughed our hearts and souls into becoming a team and the struggle has been long and hard. A team created out of friendship which has stood the test of time so far and for others may have ended before now. But credit to all concerned, we are a hard working team full of great characters and we will continue to go from strength to strength.
