CLUB CODE OF CONDUCT / PLAYERS CHARTER |
| Date: 28/09/06 |
The following Charter is an agreement to be read, understood and signed by anyone who wishes to be a member of Cray W & NB FC.
Contained below is what is expected of each player by the club and what they can expect from the club. It also includes a strict Code of Conduct.
Section 1 Code of Conduct
League & FA rules must be adhered to at all times. Anyone who wishes to play in any match for the club must be a member.
All members must accurately complete a registration form and must not play before they are informed by the Secretary that the league has deemed them eligible to play.
No players will play while under official suspension.
Respect for our own and oppositions grounds and facilities must be shown at all times.
There will be no smoking in the changing rooms or during the match’s course.
The use of any illegal substances in and around the ground will not be tolerated.
Dissent is not accepted at this club.
Verbal or physical abuse of the referee, other members, or the opposition will NOT TO TOLERATED. It lets the club and your other players down and may result in cancellation of membership as well as a significant fine.
All players must be on the pitch, already warmed and stretched and ready for kick-off at least 15 minutes before kick-off time.
Jewellery must NOT be worn on the pitch.
Section 2 Team Rules
Anyone who has previously had a professional contract must inform management.
No player will be allowed membership if they have outstanding monies owed to this or any other club.
Each member is expected to be available to train once a week on the designated training day.
Players must respond as ‘available’ by Thursday 6pm latest, if they are asked to play and wish to be considered for selection.
Members must meet at the time and placed advised by the team manager, unless otherwise agreed (or no later than 60 minutes before kick-off with a phone call if running late).
Members may be expected to be assistant referee occasionally on a rotation basis.
Each member will pay in full any fines that they cause the club to incur, by a date that the club informs them, relative to FA deadlines.
Where more than one member is responsible for fines incurred, the payment will be divided accordingly.
Players must inform management if they play for other county affiliated teams. (e.g. Sunday sides)
Players who receive bans while playing for any other club must provide management with full details.
Players who are cautioned can be expected to be substituted from the field of play for the benefit of the team.
Players receiving cautions which are not for fouls or handballs will receive a club fine (at the discretion of management) as well as any applicable FA fine.
The club will provide numbered playing shirts and shorts when possible
Players must not take home team kits and are responsible for ensuring the kit that they have been assigned to wear, is back in the kit bag at the end of the game.
Any kit or equipment lost will be replaced by the management but will be fully funded by the members present on the date it was lost or damaged. (for example should a match ball be lost, every player will be required to pay £2 in order to replace – therefore look after the equipment).
All club equipment must be returned after use. (Warm up balls/Bibs/Bottles etc)
Players must bring their own shin-pads, boots
The club will endeavour to provide a first-aid kit at all matches.
Every player has a duty to themselves and their team-mates to reveal to management any injuries they may have.
Each player is expected to offer a Man-of-the-Match, and a Plum-of-the-Match vote after each game won. You may not vote for yourself.
Players are expected not to argue with each other for the good of the team. Any member arguing will be expected to be dropped from selection contention for at least one game.
Any problems or disagreements must be discussed 1-2-1 in private, never in front of team-mates or opposition.
The Club will provide hot/cold drinks at half time, and sandwiches at full time.
This charter does not constitute a contract. It is solely a collection of conditions which must be adhered by anyone who wishes to be a member. Members are free to leave at any time.
