Crick rounded off a solid season in B league with a well deserved 4-1 against a competitive Wootton side. A fine early goal from Ethan after good approach work from Leon settled Crick down and halfway through the half Joe added a second after fine interplay on the left between Tom and James.

The second half saw Wootton adopt a more robust approach and they deservedly got themselves back in the game with a well worked goal to bring the score back to 1-2.  Unfortunately one of the Wootton players let himself and his team down with some poor behaviour and the referee correctly showed him a yellow card.  Crick showed composure during this period and having weathered the storm, Sam latched on to a long clearance by Joe and clinically finished his one on one with the keeper.
The win was complete when with 5 minutes to go, Joe smashed in one of his trademark long distance freekicks to secure the 3 points.  A very good ending to a satisfactory season for the lads, 9 wins and 9 defeats a fair reflection on both performances and the tight nature of the league.
