Brief History of the Club |
Originally called 'Hamblett FC' formed by Gareth Illage. They renamed a season later to 'Cowley Hill Park FC'. A season later saw a change of management to Colin Sutton at the time Colin was the current Goal Keeper. Two season's later saw another name change, this time they were called 'Lingholme FC'. They remained 'Lingholme FC' for two seasons. A change of tenancy to the pub saw the team move to the 'Orange House' again for 2 season's. They were forced to move yet again due to closure to the 'Orange House'. They moved back to the 'Lingholme' for another 2 season's before the pub saw another change of hands. This saw them move to their current home.... 'The Cricketers'.
Their highest finish to date is 3rd, this was accomplished in the first full season at 'The Cricketers' in the 2007/2008 season.
