Sunday's Game Against Sovereign (everyone please read)
Date: 11/10/07
I appreciate that Sovereign are a bunch of wind up merchants but we have to be big enough to rise above it and not get drawn into petty squabbles.
Things got totally out of hand after the game, which is unacceptable.
This Club has been running for 20 years and has always had a good reputation. I cannot afford to let anyone bring the Club name into disrepute because they are unable to control themselves.
We have had the odd problem in the past with players who want to fight and those players have been asked to leave the Club (Mark from Sovereign being one of them).
If this matter has been reported to the FA (which it probably has) then the Club will get into trouble and ultimately all our Players could be banned from playing football. The FA will not look at who caused the argument or fight but will look at people’s reactions to it and those that got involved with it.
I know for a fact that the League will be watching our next few games and we need to be on our best behaviour.
This Club is about playing football and enjoying it, not about arguing and fighting.

At this point I would ask that everyone decides whether they wish to play for this Club and abide by it’s rules, or leave, as any more of this behaviour cannot be tolerated.

I would like to thank those of you who didn’t get involved with the arguments on Sunday and conducted yourselves in a respectable manner, had you not done this it would of ended up in a mass brawl and that would have been the end of the Club.

If you are happy to accept the rules of the Club and conduct yourself in a proper manner then please text me to let me know that you will be there on Sunday. (07956 303567), the match details are on the home page.

Thanks, and lets get back to enjoying our football and winning some games!

Tony
