Season 2008/2009 saw CS crowned as champions of Division Two, losing only one league match all season and promoted to League One for season 2009/2010. CS also finished a healthy eighth (out of eighty teams) in the Lucozade Sports Performance. Excellent runs in both Cup competitions helped make the season CS’s most successful to date.
Season 2009/2010 sees United start with two team, as interest in joining the squad grows; so after a storming finish to their second season back in Division Two the challenge accelerates on two fronts.
Both teams still retains the spine and enthusiasm of a nucleus of players who won promotion out of division three, in the 2006/2007 season; with the introduction of some new faces; that bring flair and energy to both teams for the coming campaign.
The club having a long tradition of playing in the SACFL and is made up of a mix of characters mainly from Spelthornes local churches.
