As the season nears the end, Dynamo's second to last game saw them at Leigh United (A team). This game also saw Dynamo's new addition Ricco Blackstock.
From the kick-off, both teams looked quite shaky and each took turns at losing possession. It wasn't until about ten minutes in when Leigh got the ball and fired a shot from out of nowhere which nearly ripped through the back of the Dynamo's net!! From then on, Leigh took full advantage and gained in confidence. This gave Dynamo's many problems as they struggled to cope with Leigh's constant attack. In fairness to Dynamo's, the addition of two new players meant they had to switch things around in both defence and midfield which may have unsettled their regular players. Dynamo's weren't without chances though, with John Hall, Brandon Grayson, Euan Broadbent and Ricco all having shots on goal only for the brilliant Leigh keeper to deny them. Even Alfie Dootson and Thomas Mercer added to the attack, supplying great balls upfield. Unfortunately though, these attacks were probably their undoing as Leigh counter-attacked each time and added 3 more great goals before half time to make it 4-0 to the home team. Defender Ethan Green was kept busy for most of the match and definately helped keep the tally down but was helpless as Leighs goals fired in giving keeper Dhruv Jesani no chance.
The second half was a different story though! Dynamo's came out and showed they were not going to lie down. Some great runs by Lai-Lah Booth and Kamil Gronowski helped Dynamo's upfield and created some brilliant chances and with John Hall 'bossing' the middle of the field it wouldn't be long before Dynamo's got their reward. A super run followed with new-boy Ricco firing a cracker past the outstanding Leigh keeper to give Dynamo's some hope. End to end action followed and was a treat for the eyes. A hatful of missed chances from both teams and another super goal from Ricco followed however so did two more Leigh goals.
The game finished 6-2 but Dynamo's evenly matched Leigh in the second half. They can take all the positives from this game and build on to complete their team in prep for next season.
WELL DONE DYNAMO'S!!
Result- 6-2
Man of the match- Ricco Blackstock
